That said, it did not divulge on the exact number of licenses approved and how many, if at all, were extended to US firms. The commerce ministry simply confirmed that “a certain number” of rare earth export applications were approved in the latest batch. That before commenting:
“China will continue to strengthen the approval process for compliant applications, and is willing to further enhance communication and dialogue with relevant countries on export controls.”
