What are the main events for today? | Forexlive

In the European session, we have a few low tier releases that are unlikely to change much for the market or central banks. The main highlight is going to be the German inflation figures.

As a reminder, the ECB is in a wait-and-see mode now as they gather information throughout the summer to decide whether another rate cut is going to be needed. They still lean towards one final cut but that could change depending on the data.

In the American session, we don’t have much on the agenda other than a couple of low tier indicators like the Dallas Fed Manufacturing Index and the Chicago PMI. Both are volatile and rarely market-moving.

Do note that it’s the last day of the month and we have a shortened week due to US Independence Day on Friday.
