Trump after meeting with EU leaders and Ukraine Zelenskiy:

• Good call with EU leaders and Ukraine’s Zelenskiy
• The meeting was rated a 10
• Going to meet with Putin, then will call Zelenskiy and European leaders
• Good chance we will have a second meeting
• Would like to do second meeting with Putin almost immediately.
• If first meeting goes okay will have a quick second meeting between Putin and Zelinskiy
• Warns, there may be no second meeting
• Russia would face consequences if the war is not stopped.
• Russia will face consequences if it doesn’t end the war
• When asked whether he can convince Putin to stop targeting civilians, he answered “No” (this is a problem because Putin has no remorse for lives of civilians or his own troops).

And on the Fed:

• The Fed building could have been painted and fixed (HMMM – i do admit $2.5B to $3.1B is high, but my guess is that contractors have a field day with governmental contracts. I would be probing the construction company, not the Fed)
• Interest rate should be three or four points lower
• Will name new chairman early, it’s down to three or four names.

New names were bantered about this week (and last week) including former Fed Pres. James Bullard, former Fed Gov. Lawrence Lindsay, David Zervos from Jeffries LLC, Rick Rieder from Blackstone. The earlier nominees including Kevin Warsh (Hoover Institution), Keven Hassett (WH Economic Adviser), Christopher Waller (Fed Gov and dove), Michelle Bowman (Fed Gov and dove), Lorie Logan (Dallas Fed Pres), Phillip Jefferies (Fed Governor), Marc Summerlin.

So who are the 3 or 4 names now?

A blue would look good…
