In the European session, we don’t have anything on the agenda. The markets will either consolidate into the US CPI report or continue with the trends set in the prior week.
In the American session, we have the NY Fed consumer inflation expectations data. This is one of the three major consumer inflation expectations surveys that include the University of Michigan and the Conference Board.
It’s rarely a market moving release but it will still give us some more details on the direction of expectations. The NY Fed survey is generally considered more reliable for measuring inflation expectations due to its larger panel and consistent methodology, but it’s also the last to get released.
Finally, we have the French confidence vote where the Prime Minister Bayrou is expected to lose. The French President Macron will then need to find another Prime Minister. This should be already priced in, so at most, we might see some intraday noise.
