Trump lackey Hassett thinks the shut down is “likely” to end this week | investingLive
I think paying much attention to what Hassett says is pretty much a waste of time, any time. He’s a Trump sycophant so he is probably just parroting the boss.
Hassett is billed as ‘National Economic Council Director’, not as any sort of political insider. He spoke on CNBC and said the government shutdown “is likely to end sometime this week”.
He does not sound well informed, citing that he has ‘heard’ that Democrats were waiting for the “no Kings” parades to end before reopening the government:
- “Now there’s a shot that this week, things will come together, and very quickly”
Sheesh, sounds like water cooler gossip more than anything of substance. Hopefully I’m wrong.
Hassett flexed with a threat. Says if government does not reopen Trump may impose “stronger measures”. No tacos for a week?
