The White House is saying that

• the US has full confidence in Polish government’s investigation of explosion near their mortar with Ukraine.

They add that the

• US sees nothing that contradicts Polish persons preliminary assessment that the explosion was most likely result of Ukrainian air defense missile.
• However they add that whatever final conclusions may be made, it is clear Russia is ultimately responsible.
• Ukraine has every right to defend itself.
